Windows "schduled tasks" pokes a bat file that triggers a vbs script that invokes exzcel to run a vb6 script that dumps an MSDE database to a mysql dumpfile that is zipped and scp:d to a linux server where it's picked up by a cron task that uses sed to clean up the sql and push it to MySQL, form which another script copies data to a different database, from whence a patched to phpbb displays people their account balance.
And trust me, I did look for simpler alternatives.
